The Commonwealth. Canada by Iñigo Membibre

Canada is one of the countries that belong to the Commonwealth of Nations, and I find it really interesting. Canada has been part of the Commonwealth since the beginning, which shows how long it has been connected with other countries around the world. I also learned that Canada became fully independent in 1982 with the Canada Act, and before that, it gained self-government in 1931.

What I find really cool about Canada is that it is one of the biggest countries in the world, with beautiful nature, lakes, forests, and snowy winters. Another interesting thing is that Canada has two official languages, English and French. I think this makes the country very unique and rich in culture.

When it comes to sports, Canada is very active in the Commonwealth Games. In fact, it has competed in every Games since the beginning. I was surprised to learn that Canada even hosted the first Commonwealth Games in 1930. Over the years, Canada has won many medals, especially in swimming, athletics, and gymnastics. I really admire how sport brings people together and shows the talent of Canadian athletes.

Writing about Canada makes me realize how the Commonwealth connects countries in culture, history, and sports. I think Canada is a great example of a country that is proud of its independence, its people, and its achievements in sports.
