Art Gallery of New South Wales by Íñigo Membibre
The artwork I found most interesting on the Art Gallery of New South Wales website is Tom Roberts’ The Golden Fleece. I like it because it shows a real moment in Australian history and captures the hard work of the shearers in a natural and vivid way. The light, movement, and realism make the scene feel alive.
What drew my attention the most was the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art collection. The designs, materials, and stories in these works are very different from European art, and they show a deep connection to land and culture. They made me want to know more about their traditions.
I would highlight about the gallery is its diversity. It presents international, Australian, and Indigenous art side by side, helping visitors see how different cultures express themselves through art.
